What about the bone tree?

Post by bad-and-ugly » Sun Jul 03, 2016 5:18 pm

Hey everyone
I'm finishing a movie which I shot partly in Black Rock City in 2014. Does anyone know who can give me permission to use images of the bone tree in it?

The Bone Tree was created by Dana Albany at the request of Larry in 1999. You can read the full story here, and it even includes the artist's mailing address! http://www.leonardo.info/gallery/burningman/albany.html

Flash Hopkins also worked on it, apparently: http://flashhopkins.com/art-projects/
When he lights his streetlamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower.
When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.

- Le Petit Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
