First burn going in solo

Post by 13key2light » Mon Jul 11, 2016 3:45 pm

Hey fellow burners, I'm new to the boards but not the burn. This year 2016 will be the first time I'm not in a camp tho. Going solo , my gf and i. We are stoked and still preparing. , I always try never to forget anything before going camping or to a festival but there's always been one thing..... hopefully not this time.

Figured I'd join the boards cause there's so much to discuss and so many tips to be shared and learned. Dunno if anyone will even read this but here it is.

Welcome to eplaya. What took you so long.
I know lots of couples who are going solo. 8) You should get together with some and start solo camp.
There is lots to find and learn here. Make yourself at home and join in some of the conversations.

Welcome to eplaya.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Welcome!

Going "solo" (or with one other person who's kickass) can be amazing, especially for someone who knows what they're doing. I'm actually ecstatic for you. Your time will be your own . . .

Welcome. I can recommend camping alone. Hang out here. Do some browsing to find out how we get along with no camp. Welcome to eplaya!!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hey thanks guys for the warm welcome. Ratty, when i first started looking into the "where to camp" portion of my preparation i was mostly interested in finding a theme camp that i could take my ambitious solo camp into and better my experience but after reading a lot of the posts in the theme camp topics and hearing your appreciation for the freedom of camping solo with other people who camp solo but do it well, i have reconsidered haha. I think ill stay solo but still keep it inviting.
