Veteran Burner utilizing this fantastic resource!

Post by BlindSpot » Sat Jul 16, 2016 9:30 am

My playa name is BlindSpot but I also respond to Andie.
My goal over the next year or two is to bring university students in engineering fields to Burning Man to share their interactive art projects they complete for my class, Small Group & Team Communication.

I want to learn and prepare as much possible to develop a camp for students to stay in that includes veteran burners willing to guide them to all things BM, the principles, and dealing with the ups and downs of a week on playa. So, I'm reading the posts and ideas from fellow Burners to figure out where to start.

The student experience would include participating and learning about the culture as part of the culture. As you can imagine, even a small camp dominated by BM virgins is a big task to take on.

My overall goal is to motivate students to have fun with their passion. To remember why they wanted to become engineers in the first place, to see the amazing art and engineering from around the world, to feel the excitement when people interact with their art- when people are having fun - when people are amazed at what they accomplished.
It's not art until they play with it.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome to Eplaya.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.
