It's well made and effectively draws you in; it certainly piqued my interest anyway. It seems to be airing on one of the sports channels these days, in fact it may have aired again this evening, though I missed it this time around.
I drive past the Bonneville Salt Flats each time I go to the burn. It is almost like a rite of passage for me now, no turning back after running through that landscape. Kind of like 'not being in Kansas anymore!'

At this point it seems almost mandatory to mention the movie The World's Fastest Indian starring Anthony Hopkins.
It is the true story of New Zealander Burt Munro, who went to Bonneville with his (very fast) vintage Indian motorcycle.
Amazingly... the movie was directed by the same man who directed the documentary film of the real Burt Munro! And the documentary is on the same DVD as the new movie.

Holy cow, gang. The last couple weeks have raced by with projects and camp coordinating. And here it is, I'm two days out from hitting the road on the bike and heading out west to meet y'all. Cannot wait! We'll have to sit down for a cold one since there's been so many twists and turns to getting ready to make the trip, I wouldn't know where to begin catching everyone up. I'll leave it at this one fact. I was waiting until last night for a part to arrive from Germany to see if I was even going to be able to make the ride out. If it wasn't for the *last* moment, I'd get nothing done at all. \o/
Looking forward to getting out into the dust. See everyone there!
