Ursa Major: Looking for penny placers

We were fortunate enough to be awarded another Honoraria this year for a new project called "Ursa Major". It will be a 14 foot tall Grizzly Bear that will also be covered in pennies. About 170,000 pennies if I've done my math correctly. That's where you come in. We are looking for volunteers to help us at our Hayward, California location (times to TBD but we will probably need the help from mid June on)
We mostly work weekends, but some weekday work will be included as well. This a great chance to participate in some large art and it will be easy to do. In essence you will push the pennies into cement. On end. That's it. Lots of them. We will supply gloves and aprons, food and drink. You just. Push.... the..... pennies......iIn....... the...... cement. Fun? You bet.!

I was allowed to help with last years Penny the Goose. Painless, easy going, fun... and then out on the playa, all the props! Seriously, such an easy way to be connected to greatness: Gluing pennies. I really can't over stress how cool it is to be out on the playa looking at something like this you helped put together and telling every goddamned person passing, yeah, I licked every one of those pennies.

My silence is due in part to a new girlfriend who does all my thinking for me now.
