I wanna ride my bike to burning man and save the whales
Ok, usually by this point in the season, some ecologically minded asshat puts up a stupid post about riding their bicycle to burning man, because, you know, the environment and shit. (of course forgetting that burningman is far from.a green event, and a heavily polluting one at that)
So feel free to post here how your going to be a good little monkey, and pedal your ass to the burn.
Then we will reply what an absolutely terrible idea it is, and the cold hard facts supporting our position.
And the floor is now yours.....

Biking to Burning Man to "save the planet," but necessarily having someone else drag all the needed supplies and gear there on their motor vehicles for you (including if you're just a hippie mooch), is like a country offloading manufacturing to China to avoid domestic pollution tariffs. Way to go Captain Planet!
Instead, do your part to save the environment by not attending Burning Man at all!

"Its like... No man... You just dont get it. Its like a symbol of my ecological piety. A manifesto of intention. It brings the whole issue up for discussion and challenges peoples perceptions. I like to think of it as socially-aware performance art"

Plus, I'm pretty sure Ranger Magnum's motorhome is lowered and rolling on 13" Daytons, so if you get run over its not gonna pass over you it's gonna steamroller you like a sandwich press.

I'm bringing extra carbon to burn just to offset anything the bicycle hippies save.
Just doing my part....Whales are stupid anyway.

When he lights his streetlamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower.
When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.

I've converted my bus to run on whale oil & my horn plays whale songs. It's often the last thing a Playa bound hippie on two wheels ever hears.
Of course I'm just kidding. It's steam powered heated by burning sacks of kittens. I go through a lot of kittens over 4000 miles.
