I just went to the doctor last Tuesday for my BP and cholesterol check and he commented on how I've lost 15lbs in the last 1 1/2 years.

Well gang, it's been two weeks since the Super Bowl and I've lost 10 pounds. No alcohol until March 8 so I hope to drop another 5 to 10, run 5+ miles every other day, weight training (including doing 240 sit-ups with 30 lbs. on my chest) the other days, and cutting back my caloric intake to under 1800 a day.

God I could use a beer.

Depending on which starting weight you choose, I've lost 10~15 pounds. However, it has been forced on me through surgery and the very unpleasant side effects. I am hoping I can turn this negative into a positive.

I'm down to 182 right now and have been losing about 5 pound a week. Pretty awesome. Met with the plastic surgeon today as well. I have to have 4 surgeries in 2 passes. over a foot tall of skin comes off the front and a breast lift, 2nd round is the back side lift and breast implants. $12,800 and $11,200

FUCK!!

But at least clothes cover it up for the time being

Awesome job, TTG and everybody posting, too!
This is a great thread as I too have been trying to lose weight.

I was down to 167 from 200 and feeling good about myself and then dang if now I'm right back up to 188 again!
I was doing some weight training and really watching my calorie intake..about 1210 a day.
My problem is I get bad cravings and and feel hungry all the time.
I am not lifting anymore(and not very active) which I'm sure is a big part of the weight gain.

Has anyone else had issues with food cravings....and if so, how have you managed them?

Wow.. I don't know how you all do it.

I have always took weight gainers every December then Drop weights for a few months. And a quick month of cardio to get the remaining fat weight off. Worked like a charm.

Then I turned 40.. was a bit harder.

Now at 43 into about 2 months of cardio, 2 hours/4 times a week. and I have 25 Ibs that just refuses to get the hell off my lawn.

I'm 6'3" and am happy at 215-220 ish. 34" waist. 240 just Won't DO.. I may have to just Run to burning man from the east coast this year

Hey kids, I have been lurking here and being inspired. Lucky, you get the munchies? Tell me it ain't so! Anyhoo, I have a 24/7 nice gym about 10 miles from me here. Joined yesterday and meet with my "trainer" Thursday morning at 10AM. I have good core strength, but need some cardio. I would like to lose 15-17 pounds. I know that doesn't sound very major to a lot of you, but I am now 63.....I can't just drop it in a few weeks like I did back in my 30's. I am sitting here at 201. We will see what happens. Thanks for the great inspiration.....

So this morning I hit a huge milestone!
My doctor who did my surgery set my goal weight at 180. I hit it this morning! So I'm considered a success

9 months and 19 days later.... 123 pound gone!!

**happy dance***

Only 20-30 more left to lose till my personal goal weight.

You all are doing great! When I was a larger sise and was trying to lose weight, sweets, especially, was my nemesis, and it all starts in the evening. I've made cakes and cookies in the middle of the night just to have my sweet fix! I was 200 lbs, now I'm 170. I was looking at a photo of myself during my weighty days and I couldn't believe I put so much weight. 30 lbs later, I've had a hard time staying at this weight and so far so good. Thirty lbs may not seem like a lot, but I'm managing to do it!

I've lost 30 lbs since January. No alcohol for 3 months helped tremendously. Also, no night eating. Those two factors were my biggest hurdles.

Night eating is totally my downfall as well!! Such a hard thing to break for sure!

I have never been a huge drinker, but working now in Fine dinning, You need a few after work. But I had one night were i went a little to crazy and almost went to the hospital, sooooooo I dont really drink anymore. Soda has replaced that... still not helping lol

I like those flavored fizzy waters, can't remember the brand I drink. I can say that the fake sugar probably isn't doing my body any favors, but as far as not drinking my calories, they help my soda cravings. I also try to drink water at every meal, and in between. Every little bit helps.
