After a miraculous 11 hour shift, without any hangover symptoms other than being tired, I am so happy to have a beer in hand.

The strippers at the club were actually wanting us to stay because of how slow it was before we arrived. They were liking the flow of money coming in.

I am very ready for Seattle with no work for the day after. I will be at my Santi best.

It was so nice to see all the eplayans out in force.

VERY long day out in the cold, how about something hot, like a hot buttered rum? I'm in the hot tub quick.

Santa Sensei is a little fuzzy today, as was expected. I'm kicking myself for not bringing a camera. I saw some priceless shots...

#1) Rob handling the first contact with the Portland police - as well as every other contact with the Portland police. It took all of about 30 minutes from the time we started until they came by to chat. A police car marked 'Supervisor' stopped and Rob talked to the sarge (she had 3 stripes and everything) and who also happend to be an extremely attractive woman in her early 40's. Rob spoke with her for a few minutes and then turned to the crowd of Santas to tell us (through his Santa-megaphone) that "we are all under arrest". There was a loud chorus of boos! Then Rob said that "we are all going to be strip-searched" and there was an even louder chorus of cheers! The look on that cop's face at that moment was perfect! She was a sport and laughed with us, as were most but not quite all security...

Kodak moment #2 was in that fancy hotel we crashed. They had a ton of security in the lobby and as we marched through I saw several Santas walking in different directions all around a security guard who had his finger in his ear and was trying to call in a report. That conversation was probably funnier than the pic would have been.

Missed pic #3: Santa's at the train station. Out in a Portland neighborhood on a rainy Saturday afternoon, most of these trains (and stations) don't get too much activity. When 100+ Santas show up waiting for a train, the dynamics of the place change a little. The train rides themselves were surreal. The intermediate stops really weirded out people standing on the platform. Sam's pic of the inside of the train tells it all...

Last pic: the image of Santas filling up the sidewalk for two or three blocks was astounding. The pic of us crossing that street and heading into the "Dancin' Bare" would have been priceless, but it was night time by then. Again, kudos for Sam catching that great sign...

I'd like to thank everyone in Portland for such a great time! We'll do it again this Saturday here in Seattle (a 'home' game!) Then, it's off to Vancouver to complete the Triple Crown. I'm still rasslin' with the boss over time off but he's not going to win...

I have noticed a new vibe over the last week here on eplay and in general, it feels good. It is positive. I like it.

Can you make a custom breakfast? Is there a ribeye, some eggs and spuds for steak and eggs? I want, I want, I want.

What a weekend... corporate dinner Friday night, where I hit on every woman in sight (even a cop's wife while he is sitting next to her, fingering his ankle piece); Saturday SantaCon that was too much fun to describe in posts (Strippers, Cops, SantaBowling, The Santa Death March, and something at the end that had pizza in it, I think); Last night at the Powell's Book Store Christmas dinner, I danced my ass off, and won the Annual Twist contest (pissing off a friend who decided that she was going to win it this year) and hitting on this lovely young lady with tats all down her arm. It's good to get back to work so I can rest....

Uhhhhhh..... Bloody Mary, please. I need the vitamins...

Talk about good synchronicity, as soon as I poured this cup of Jamaican coffee, satellite radio plays "The Redemption Song" by Bob Marley, maybe my love life will take a turn for the better. Got three days off, going to Vegas, hmmmmmmm. Ya think?

Hmmm, closest Denny's is in Vegas, guess I'll have to do some driving. On cup of JBM for Zool, last one.

Vegas is a huge city, I doubt I could find her. I did get to give her an e-footrub in the e-hot tub, in this here e-bar awhile back. Someday I might get to meet her, she does sound very interesting.

From our internal IRC server at work ...

[08:51] <boss> wife just left the house.. she was thinking out loud before she left.. 'I wish I could find a gynocologist/hair stylist/pedicurist'

Now THAT is a woman in search of efficiency! The one-stop woman shop!

so.... how was santacon, folks?

my performance went really well on saturday, or at least i think so. i was pretty boozed off of one glass of wine.

michael tarazi - the PLO negotiations lawyer - ROCKS!! i'm going to try to see him tonight. it was pretty sweet - we got some 'insider' information from the man. and i met a girl whose family (she's a refugee) is from the village that MY adopted family is from... actually she's loosely related to them, making us... something...

then i got to see the lil' sis (who is fucking brilliant) and we worked on catching up over too much coffee...

spent 4 hours on editing my book, which i've been trying to motivate toward for almost a year.

got depressed, got un-depressed.

house - more or less cleaned. but i ended up attempting to lint-roll my carpet.. and it kind of worked...

it's been a full weekend. how about ya'll?
