Not so busy a weekend. Did some shopping Saturday, went over to some friends house later. Made it home by 3. Up with the pitter-patter at about 8, christmas lights up though I myself didn't do much of that. Babysat a friend's daughter so they could get some "rest".

I was forced to sneak into that strip club... but I didn't want to stay outside, alone... I guess the bouncer didn't think I looked 21... go figure... but, no ID, no entry...
But what are they gonna' do, huh. "Some guy just sneaked in!" "What's he look like?" "He's got long white hair, a long white beard, and he's wearing a Santa Suit" ".... Uh... right.... "
By the way, great dancing, Miss GE! You and the other lady Santa's were about a hundred times sexier than the naked lady that spun around the pole... ummmmmm.... yeah, waaaaaaaaay sexier!...

This Santa thing...so you get a bunhc of people together and you dress up like Santa and then you cruise around town and do stuff? The pics are pretty funny. Is this an organized thing- do places know you are coming, and someone herds everyone from place to place?
I had a wonderful weekend. Our ski hill opened and it dumped all weekend so I was snowboarding, although not as much as I would have liked as the power went out yesterday and the lift shut down. Also started the month of Christmas parties on Saturday night, didn't last too long though, too tired from riding.
I'll just stick with my earl grey tea. Lots of work today then getting my teeth cleaned!

I know nothing official, yet, RJ. It's on new years eve... go figger... and I'm guessing it'll be about 10 or 1030 start? We're in the process of trying to figure out which song to count down the new year with, so that timing sounds about right. I'll let you know more when I do.
Oh, it's at the crocodile.
Geekie... you've been missed. I'm glad you're back.
and Sam, I'm glad you liked the dancing. Seriously though, the dancer who levitated around that goddamned pole sure impressed the hell outta me... I'll just need to get my pole installed in my apartment so I can practice...

Really, it depends where you live as to how well organized it is. However, it always involves drunkeness, lewd behavior (except in the presence of children) and generally running the good name of Kris Kringle into the gutter.
It's going to be alright.

'Organized' is very a very generous term, although Rob the Wop and others put a lot of hard work into organizing this thing. "Herding" might be the better term. How do you direct 200 drunken Santa's from place to place? Although I saw no cattle prods in sight, they would have come in handy. But, it was loosely organized. Contact Rob for the particulars of setting one up in your home town, or the people at Cacophony.org. They have the resources you might be looking for. Check out here, too... santarchy.com... great photos from accross the world. Is this an organized thing- do places know you are coming, and someone herds everyone from place to place?

A friend just sent me her breakdown on the Miami Santacon
Santarchy in Miami was unreal. On Saturday we had a
rented coach for Santarchy and we went to this crazy
gater hangout on the river called Jimbo's. From there
we went to Bayside Mall (where the cruise ships are)
and sang mixedup Christmas carols. Then it was off to
Santa's enchanted forest which was a big xmas carnival
with rides and 30,000 lights. We had magic glasses so
that was spectacular. Then we went on to Ocean Drive
in South Beach and went up and down the block
terrorizing and cajoling all the cheche yupees and
tourists. We were invited into Gloria Estefan's
restaurant to do a conga line. That was too cool.
Then it was off to Jude Papalucco's Jamaican art
gallery where his band was playing and we danced and
sang and looked at the great art.

*~*~ooooo**~*~
very nauseous this last 1/2 hour. might need to leave you all early.
i hate being tied to phones when i'm sick to my stomach.
seriously, is it possible to get food poisoning off of coffee???
i guess it's just as well. i don't think i have the money to eat today, and now i don't have the inclination, either.

I have trouble with some of the oilier darker french roasts. And then if your coffee is contaminated somehow. . . As to food poisening Well, wouldn't the hot water kill most germs? But if you're drinking from an inadiquately washed cup, or even from and inadequately rinsed cup (soap residue) you could get problems. I'm no expert.Rian Jackson wrote: seriously, is it possible to get food poisoning off of coffee???
