Fencing on the playa

Hi All,
I'm a second year burner from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My first burn was in 2015 and I'm very excited to return. I'm working hard this week at making wooden pendants to give as gifts at burning man. I'm also giving a clinic on knife sharpening.
Since the theme is daVinci's workshop and the Renaissance I would like to know if there are any fencers going to burning man? I have my own equipment, and I'd love to have a few duels on the playa. I fence foil & epee.
I'm calling out all fencers to a duel.

Fencing sounds amazing, but the BLM has rules about swords. As in, none, as they are considered a weapon.

The key is to wrap the implement in Kevlar, soak with a 50/50 White Gas / Lamp oil mix, light it on fire before the fencing starts.

Then you're good.

Put small sections of flash paper on the suits to mark the contact point.

Fire fencing, that would be awesome! Why didn't I think of that? It could be performance art. It's not a weapon if it's art. I got a project idea for next year. Thank you.

Speak to the BLM and report back on the answers. In the meantime, you may just find a BLM officer confiscating your foil, as the officer might consider it a weapon.
