back in the day, when I was around dancers a lot, I noticed that every thing to them went 'five, six, seven, eight'. Even the compound meter stuff, you know, stuff in threes like waltzes or swing. Me and this guy would specifically write shit in wierd meters in order to be bewildered by the teacher counting out 'five, six, seven, eight'.
