Re: The Bar 2016 Edition
Got back from Pennsylvania last night around 9:00pm.
Had a good time. Went to the Camden Aquarium in Camden NJ, Bushkill Falls in the Poconos, Logwood Garden, a crooner show in Lancaster, target shooting, toured the Yuengling brewery in Pottsville and brought home a 24 pack
, saw the movie Scully. Great movie.
Almost missed the connecting flight from Las Vegas to Reno because even though the flight from Philadelphia departed on time, we had to zig zag around and dodge thunder storms in the central US and that made us 30mins late arriving so we had 20mins to get to the connecting gate which turned into 10 after having to wait to get off the plane. Oh well, rather be late.
Now its time to start unpacking

Wowie Catman. You had a fine time. All I did was pull and bag weeds. OK. Let's have a beer.

Re: The Bar 2016 Edition
Happy belated birthday, Delle! And sounds like quite the fun trip, Catman!
It's been a busy week for me. A big project I'd been working on for the last several months finally launched last week, and there was much fanfare with that as well as answering of questions and then diving immediately into a couple smaller projects. Got my new phone, too, and spent Saturday morning taking it out for a 'photo safari' to give the camera a bit of a workout. Then on Saturday night we saw one of my favorite bands live, that was so much fun! Today's far less exciting, I finished working on a report I've been meaning to get done since before the burn. I also finished going through all my Burning Man pictures, I'll post a link to them in a day or two. I hope everybody else's week is off to a great start...
Cheers!

Re: The Bar 2016 Edition
Thanks CO. Don't mind if I do.
I could have made a tutorial today of, "How to fail at covering screen on your playa tent". The glue only stuck my hair. The pins were a pain. The old rain fly was too small and..........wait for it...............the 10 kinds of paint just made a mess. The best I can hope for now is that everything dries and someone will pick this up off my curb.
My husband asked what was wrong with my old tent. I didn't want to tell him, 'It's dirty'.

Hi Marty!!
how's things?
it looks like some possible rain here, snow at the Hof this weekend!! yay.
I'm hoping to get the 15 tons of granite I was getting ready to load a couple of weeks ago, loaded and up there in the next few weeks.....if I'm not snowed out!
I have 6 tons up there, need about 25 total.

Re: The Bar 2016 Edition
Good morning all! Actually it's lunchtime here.
So how are your injuries healing up yg? It sounds to me like you got thumped pretty hard. Is the granite for the siding? I still stand in awe at the scale of your work.
The weather is changing here, after weeks of sweltering 90 degree afternoons, it's been decidedly cooler the last few days. I still have a lot to get done outdoors before winter and rain set in, so this certainly raises awareness. Yikes!

Kinetic Sculpture Race in Port Townsend, Washington, this weekend.
I won't be there, but my camp-mate Peter will be "racing".
Port Townsend is on the Olympic Peninsula across the "fjord" from Seattle.

Nice photo CL! Considering the pictures I've seen of your flying machine and shark infested camper, I'd say you're doing it right sir! Hope you make it back out next year. In the meantime, the bar is always open!

So I spent three full days in Goldengate Park with hardly strictly bluegrass .
There were many people from burning Man some cooking bacon on the side and some just being relevant to our world .
Fabulous music , good new friends, outdoors in the park ..next time come and stay at my place

Ooh, the sun's finally poking it's head through the clouds after a couple days of clouds. Lots of little projects keeping things busy, but I'm starting to block out a couple arty projects I want to work on over the next few months. I'm looking forward to SF decom this weekend, anybody else going to be there?
