Favourite small, simple art encountered? (interactive or non)

Just thought it would be interesting to share the little things that left an impact.. For sure we all love the giant flame-throwing stuff that you can climb up on or ride across the playa on, but what about those little, simple pieces of art found in unexpected little corners of things? or minimalist interactive set ups that surprise you and leave you with a big smile on your face? Let's share those here..
(some examples to start it off:)

..the singing gift cards dropped between the porta potties, ringing the happy birthday song to you while you piss...
..a tiny little surreal altar deep inside a structure..
..little propoganda posters that may or may not lead you to an experience elsewhere..

Not tiny small, but not huge either; The interactive human-powered mechanical piece of art -- way out by the trash fence that with turn of the handle presented you with an "end of the earth" patch.

The machine was a great looking all wood compost turner. Inside were shelves of patches that were suppose to rotate and dispense a cloth patch. Please don't tell me you got that thing to work. Abba and I were out there on Monday. There was one guy sitting with a patch in his hand. We did as he told us. "Turn the handle until it gives you a patch" Now we both have tennis elbow and no patch. Thanks a lot 'Ski Patrol'.

So we went to playa info. Two of our friends camp with Ski Patrol. (Pam and Steve) We'll go see them and get a patch too. Ski Patrol had the wrong address in the computer. That art instillation could have been a hidden camera viewed elsewhere. Maybe at their secret camp.

Yup.

All four of us got a patch.

"Realize" was a series of ~8 foot poles each with a steel hand welded to the top. There was a little ladder and you'd climb up to it then lay back into the hands. It was remarkably comfortable as all the hands seem to be perfectly placed to support you as you looked up at the beautiful desert sky and they all moved just a very little bit in the wind. The artist was Gene Tully.

Ah that's cool but how do you get onto it? In my head I'm picturing it being awkward getting from ladder into place.

I imagine you have to be agile enough to take 'hands'.

The comfort of the hands against the dangerous motion required to get there.
I would be more worried about 'getting off' - not in one step.

Indeed the positions between ladder and hands will not be for everyone, something on the back of the ticket confirms this.

Several years ago, a Dream Machine, originally invented by artist Brion Gysin and writer William S. Burroughs. It was on a back street, about 6 foot high dream machine, a raised about 6 inches wood platform about 20' in diameter, with a massive pile of stuffed animals and blankets to settle into.

At the Census Lab There is a free standing ladder about 8 or 10 feet high. It has a sign. "Scenic View' or something like that. I must have seen it 20 times in past years and never realized it was to climb. I just never made the connection between ladder and sign. Yes, it's a lovely view.
