Yes I did earlier this summer around my recycle can. I still see them flitting about. As a wild curly haired woman, they slightly terrify me.

Even though I had to rescue a neighbors cat that my dogs cornered at 2:55 AM, I am actually feeling pretty well rested.

Sad old cat was still in the same spot this AM, but I saw him out before the dogs could re-pounce.

I worked in retail for almost 30 years, in bookstores for about 15 of those - I would probably have a heart-attack if I tried.

I worked as a volunteer at St Vincent De Paul thrift store for 10 years. 20 hours a week. It was great fun. I was 'let go' when they discovered the religion had been moved to the fiction room. Call it like you see it.

TPBM didn't have any hoopla for Thanksgiving.

Nothing special. Went to the Carson Valley Inn for "a traditional" dinner. Turkey, stuffing, smashed taters, sweet taters, (more like yams) string beans and a slice of pumpkin pie. I took over half of it home to have a "traditional turkey sandwich" for lunch tomorrow.



TPBM plans to have their chimney cleaned soon, assuming tpbm has a fireplace, wood or pellet stove.

I regard fireplaces as places that produce airborn toxins that fall on you during earthquakes. (The fireplaces--or at least the chimneys fall, the toxins just get inhaled.) It's less that I want to clean it out to make it, than I feel I should clean it out and brick it up before birds nest in it again next spring/summer. Arrrrgh! Houses create work.
tpbm thinks I should get on a ladder and do it myself.

I guess. I just read the Sunday paper online, for the first time in ages, and wrote down 5 word I need to look up, one area of Austria to research a bit (Gastein Valley, Krampus Central, apparently) and two authors to check out. WOW!

I could tell my attention was lagging when I couldn't get through the comics, having to position the screen and zooming in and out. I will need to keep at it and get back to my Sunday reading fitness.

tpbm has a newspaper routine in place.
