Wanted: Entertainers and Creative Ideas for School Dance and Social in Oakland!

My son's middle school in Oakland is having their winter dance on Friday, 12/2, and I'd love to decorate the space and bring some fun Burner energy to the event! I'm looking for folks in Oakland/east bay who are interested in sharing their art or entertaining the students. Do you know people who might have some fun ideas?

Illuminated art and effects would be great, but any ideas are welcome! - there are a couple different spaces that can be decorated. Last year I decorated a little bit with el wire, but didn't have very much and would love to do more this time! If you have art that's sitting around and won't be used again until the next burn, here's your chance to share it with youth!

I'd also love to find folks interested in performing: hooping, fire/poi spinning, dancing, etc - there's a great space out front for fire spinning, if that were to work out!

And I think it'd be wonderful to provide space for the kids to interact, such as setting up some kind of booths for them to stop by and have fun (participate!). The kids meander between a few different spaces, and I think it'd be fun to have interactions in the spaces - and this would also be great for the kids who don't want to dance.

Have you and your friends perhaps done a fun interaction that went over well at Burning Man, and it's family-friendly and you'd like to bring it to these students?

These students are in sixth through ninth grade. A fun age - and they're ready to be inspired!

I'd love to bring some fun Burner energy to this event, and the teacher who is coordinating it is very open to ideas. As simple as it was, he loved my el wire last year. I'd love to bring more fun to the event this time!

A lot of ideas, I know, but I thought I'd put this out there in case anyone is interested.
