The Bar 2016 Edition

Thank you, my friends, for the birthday wishes! I make as little fuss about it as possible, but it is nice to receive reminders of our friendship.
The minimal fuss consisted primarily of dinner at a lady friend's on Christmas Eve, just three blocks away. We are not exactly a couple, but we sometimes play one on TV.
Her daughter and the daughter's boyfriend were home from college, and there's a boarder who rents the room which was formerly the daughter's, and she also invited a neighbor from just up the street. Oh, and the boarder's toddler. A most agreeable group.

And wow.... Ygmir is building our 2017 Bar already! And a wonderfully cozy one it will clearly be.

Today, January first, we had our annual Frosty Balls and Chilly Boobs run, in the cold rain. There was an impressive turnout, though not all of us on bikes.
Wimp that I am, I took the car instead of the trike...

The proceeds will go to a new military park in Cottonwood (AZ). $2,000!!!
I was there in the summer for the groundbreaking ceremony, with mayors and councilpersons and veterans and a whole bunch of riders. It was a magical gathering! Our contribution today will be for the new flagpole and flags.

you can always avail yourself of "Elorrums Coffee Machine" (ECM).
Sometimes we make cowboy coffee, in the fireplace, or on the campfire in the SCC. (simulated campground corner).
this is much like Alices Restaurant.........
