It hasn't been announced yet. Last year, the deadline to submit was late April. So you've got some time. Keep your eyes on Burningman.org. You'll get plenty of notice.

Funny you should ask. The first email from Placement regarding the DGS arrived today. General info, not specifics. The process is starting.
A plan is what you vary from.

I've camped with theme camps in the past and am hoping to start my own this year with some friends from other camps. None of us are on the Placement email list you mentioned, bigbluedoggy. Is there a way to sign up, or is it only for past years' camps?

It is a mailing list that camps are added to after having submitted their questionnaire.
If your camp is splitting up, you and your existing camp/village coordinator should get in touch with placement as early as possible by sending an email to [email protected] with the following info:
Subject: [Sector Name] Camp Name - DGS Information Update
Body of message:
Dearest Amazing Placement Team,
Choose one of the scenarios or write your own
A: Our camp leadership is changing, this is the new person to be contacted for all information regarding DGS
B: I have something else to tell you about my camp situation, here are the bullet points.
[Be sure to tell us your camp name, include your camp lead as it was shared in your Placed Camp Questionnaire.]
