I saw a great art instuallation years ago at SF MOMA that had a film loop playing of a train going in and out of the same tunnel accompanied by some mumbling by the artist about how he didn't know if he was asleep or awake. That would be perfect for this theme!

* How much water should remain in this region to meet the needs of people who have settled there?
* What compensation does Los Angeles owe these regions of our state for taking the water?
* What responsibility does Los Angeles have for resolving the problems which it's removal of water caused the natural and human communities residing in this area?

I think this may be a little out of date, I thought Mono Lake was safe.

Approximately 41 percent of LA water comes from the LA Aqueduct, whicih uses largely undeveloped watersheds in the eastern Sierra. Around 47 percent of LA water comes from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and from the Colorado River. About 12 percent omes from wells in the San Fernando Basin.
