Yes... Here's to John... and I was watching Monday Night Football. I don't remember the game, because I went into shock immediately... he is sorely missed in this world...

(is anyone else having posting problems, or is it just me?)

Bundle up before leaving the bar, kids. Nasty weather on the playa today:

Very windy with snow likely in the morning. Then changing to rain by afternoon. Total snow accumulation 1 to 3 inches. Highs 44 to 54. Southwest winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph.

Sometimes I wish there was a way to put a live webcam pointed at the playa .... but that satellite ground station would be expensive.

It's not as easy putting two and two together as it used to be... but I have found pretty ways to decorate the scar...

Actually, growing up in a rural area, I often felt that I had, somehow, inadvertantly missed "Lobotomy Day" at school.

Dammit!!!! Virtual just doesn't do it for me... and with my current financial state, transportation to your location is out of the question.

*sigh* Wanna step back into the virtual hot tub and see if we can get some virtual steam going? Hmmmmmm?

Which reminds me ... there is a very nice place near here (in Palo Alto, actually) that has absolutely beautiful tub rooms with steam. Not expensive either. Hmmm.

Well, that first one is in the same state, but it's a different desert. Belle Mountain is in Joshua Tree, between Palm Springs and Twentynine Palms. But it's nice to see those desert hills, though. I would imagine the playa has a bit of water on it considering the size of the storms that have come through here the past couple of days.

I miss driving out in the SoCal desert. We used to head out that way on Sundays in the winter just for fun.
