Hey there. (San Diego)
Hope you're well—I'm Kayla, and new to the tribe.
I've been on the outside looking in for six years,
supporting friends/acquaintances who participate; neurological medical concerns barred me from even considering it in-person.
After a lot of work, I'm finally healthy enough to adventure out—be it this year or next—whatever the cards hold with the ticketing situations I've read about.
Six years is a long time to want something, and I feel in my heart this is the year. I can realistically see myself there for the first time, and the thought is calming.
So, here I come.
I've started working on non-perishable supplies—I do not think it coincidental to have found galaxy Duck Tape ahead of this journey.
All my warmest, and I hope to connect with many of you sooner—and later—here, and there.

Good luck. Hope to see you there. Great find on the duct tape…matches your nail polish. Toes done with the same?
Don’t mind me just a mild case of a foot fetish (forgot my meds this morning!)

No judgement, am manicured-neurotic, so all good.
The duct tape is wünderbar, no doubt.
I hope to see you as well; working/planning/creating as if I am already guaranteed to head out...we'll see if that whole power of intention thing is on my side for BM (historically, it has worked well).

Hey there, welcome to ePlaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Kaylabird, Welcome to ePlaya. Do your research and it will all come together. Are you already subscribed to the newsletter? Jack Rabbit Speaks will warn you of any pertinent dates. Can't wait to hug you in the dust.

There's also a fairly active group in San Diego. Check out the regional newsletter for their weekly bar meetup. If anybody in the area is doing big art, that's a great way to hear about it and get involved.

When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.

Re: Hey there. (San Diego)
Ratty, thanks for the kind words—I've been quiet in my responses because of a 1-2 punch in the stomach via housing expenses...I was certain I wouldn't make it to BRC this year. The today, I was greeted with the message of being awarded a LI ticket. It's still going to be a massive stretch, but something tells me I'm still on the straight and arrow path to being a part of the Family. Fingers crossed—I hope to hug you in the dust as well.
