Hi! This is of course my first burn. Since I do not drive I will be flying to Reno and taking the Burner Express on August 27th to the PLAYA. If I myself do not get a ticket in the Main Sell, I have people working with me, so I will definently be going.

I will be arriving on the 26th and I have a room across from the airport reserved for that night. I reserved it for 2 incase someone needed a room before they headed out on the 27th. I also have the same room reserved for 2 for the night of September 4th.

If your flying in on the 27th or need a room on the 4th, let me know. It would be cool to bunk with someone that is taking the Burner Express as well. I will probably camp at the Burner Express Camp unless something else comes up with a local group I've joined. You are welcome to share the cost of room but it isn't required. The room has already been secured.

I am a 42 year old, normal as can be expected, GWM.

Hit me up and let me know! If I bunk with a Virgin Burner we can compare notes and plan our first burn together. Thanks!

Note: I am also a hard worker, graphic artist and organizer; so if anyone has a camp and needs someone hit me up too.

FOR THE RECORD: I may not have been to Burning Man, but I've been and stayed in the desert of Egypt, so I know what to expect with weather and conditions.

Veryspcguy, Welcome to ePlaya. That's an unusual first post. Not unreasonable. Also quite generous. There is an old thread here by spacetime. It may be out of date as far as the luggage allowances. He did a great job of explaining the gear. He's also a great guy that continues to burn and help with local projects. Take a look.

I will be interested in how playa camping compares to your previous experience. I find dust camping on hard pan to be quite different from sand desert camping.
