Welp, Am I getting this right?

Post by hopewalker » Sat Mar 25, 2017 7:36 pm

Hi ya'll, hoping to join Burners this year for the first time! Reading ticket sales info pages and threads has me wobbly. I missed the registration for Main Sale by one day:( So, do I understand correctly that my next option for a ticket OMG sale (reg's in July and sale in Aug)? I see a low-income ticket option and the exchange. But, do I understand correctly the OMG is the only remaining outright option?

So appreciate the discussions here. They've been helpful. Thanks, Burners! hope to see ya'll soon....

There's the STEP starting on the 26th of April.
STEP = Secure Ticket Exchange Program (Get your name in at noon or as soon after noon as possible...)

Also, if you're not getting the Jackrabbit Speaks, it'd be a Very Good Idea to start reading that, too.

Good luck!

Hopewalker, where do you live. Your best bet is to get in contact with local burners. Volunteer on their projects. Build, sort, transport dusty stuff. There is a lot of prep and not enough hands to do it. If you work hard maybe someone will think of you when it comes time to sell their unneeded ticket. At the very least you'll make new friends and have tons of fun.

Step isn't something you can depend on.

Buying online is sketchy. You may get ripped off. Good luck.
