Elder, We camp alone together. Come by and have a beer. WeeBeeDee that is some good lookin art you got there. I tested my 2nd hand coleman stove today. Yup. Perfect. So many of them are barely used. Anybody need that long hose that goes to a giant propane tank? I only use the individual ones.

Yes,fernley1 I'm planning on it. I only camped out 1 night last year. I plan to get there for the whole weekend this year.

Picked up a bunch of super cheap bike inner tubes at my local flea market, for tying together monkey hut joints. Also, microfiber camping towels, which dry super fast.

Pulled out the Grey Water Evap Unit to get ready for Saguaro Man. Replacing both pumps and fans as I burnt them up on the last day running them off of the (unregulated) 12VDC ports on the genny. Live & learned....

I thought I cleaned it when I got back. I know I rinsed it. (must have missed the Vinegar bath) If I did I did a terrible job!

Started pulling weeks so I have a big flat area for tent and carport prep. Yee gads my allergies!

We've gotten a couple things sorted recently, including completing the camp questionnaire. We also decided to replace a failing camp stove with something a bit more substantial.



It came with a wee little griddle top that covers a single burner, which is nice, but we wanted something bigger that we could use for group/camp meals. This big guy can handle that job, plus we'll still have a burner available for boiling water.


The little metal thing hanging off the corner in the bottom of the pic is a tin can holder for catching grease. We also recently picked up a couple commercial spatulas and a scraper to add to our kitchen bin.

Yesterday I cleaned and organized kitchen and tent interior stuff for Saguaro Man, and today sold stuff at the local flea market to make room and money for more playa stuff.

Today after a lot of pricing research I ordered a 24x30 foot chunk of aluminet for my monkey hut. Now I'm fully committed to it for sure! Ouch, but it will last for years (the aluminet).

Just ordered a tarp 10' x 20' and 1" emt connectors for my upgraded shade structure! I can ship that back and forth on the NYC container, and use it at regionals. Now have to figure out how to store six 6'8" poles (Trilo's recommendation) in the off season. I'd hate to have to buy and trash them every year.

Today I ordered my lag screws for the monkey hut, and not to neglect aesthetics, a string of chakra flags to hang across the entrance. Along with the solar led lights. Oh, and also ordered a cordless impact driver to screw in the lag screws. Craftsman, not my first choice, but I can reuse the 19.2v power packs and charger I already have, so much more economical.
