It's that time again! The playa is wet now, but who knows what can happen in a month and a half ??
We had the event at our alternate spot adjacent to the playa a few years ago (best views in Nevada) and still had a great time.
If it *is* still a lake..... WATERSPORTS!!

In the same category (but off-topic) does anyone know if there are specific dates and/or a FB site for JuPlaya this year?

That is so true ^^mgb327 wrote:Just don't leave ANYTHING laying around on the ground for 420's limited ability to navigate while walking....just sayin'.
The other night I got up around midnight or so to get a drink of water. I go through the living room and run smack dab into the coffee table overturning it. On my way down to the ground I hit my head on a wooden stool. As I lay there for a brief moment I wondered if I had sustained a concussion and if it's safe to go back to sleep...
Stumbled back to bed without getting a drink and put the furniture upright when I woke in the morning. I gots bruises...
Oh my god, it's HUGE!
Re: 2017 Black Rock Rendezvous-Memorial Day Weekend_May 26-29, 2017
Ouch! Today I managed to hook my toe in the cuff and went down like a stone. On the bricks outside. Down one stair. Hit the side of the house. Nasty cut, scrape, probably some broken toes. I saved the coffee cup though.
Those aren't buttermilk biscuits I'm lying on Savannah

Damn!
I'm off Fridays for the summer but I got drafted to drive three women to Sacramento area on Sunday the 28th to a Lady Antebellum concert that evening. Coming back Monday.
I'm gonna do my bestest to go early Friday morning and depart Saturday afternoon.

I think that's the plan. The west track road is full of water like it often is this time of year (it's rutted about 12" below the surface), but there's plenty of firm, dry playa next to it.lucky420 wrote:Is it where it was last year?

We'll be pulling in ~7:30pm on Friday if all goes well
I propose a night hike.
I think we can drive as close as 1.5 miles from the Man site.
A little birdie told me it's only ankle deep.
