Hey all. Coming from the Midwest and wondering the cheapest way to get all my things to BRC. Ill probably be catching the burner express and fully aware they charge for extra bags you bring. Is there a way to ship my things to BRC or do i have to ship them to Reno and pick them up? Would it be cheaper to just carry all my stuff through the airport and pay the fee to check them?
Lets say i can ship my things to Reno for a reasonable price then pick them up and ride on the burner bus. Would it be cheaper to just ship all my things to BRC (if possible) OR carry them on the bus and bite the fee.
Ill be shipping things like my tent and bike. mostly heavy things i cant carry through my travels.

You can't ship things to BRC.

I've moved this thread to the transportation board, since that's a better fit, and I've edited the thread title for clarity (just say no to clickbait headlines)
As Bbadger said, you can not ship things to and from BRC itself. You may want to consider the idea of joining a camp and working within your group for transportation logistics, or participating in your local regional group to find out if there are any camps organizing group shipments and transportation.

Re: The BEST way to transport gear..
The usual method is you own or rent a truck, load up all your stuff and go.
You people that want to just fly in like it was Disneyland and bring next to nothing should seriously reconsider the whole event.
Not being easy is part of what makes it what it is.
"But, I can't go if it isn't gonna be cheap and easy!"
Waaahhh. Then you can't go.
Except, people are making ways to screw if all up...

There is absolutely no way anyone can do this homework for you. Get busy, do the work.
The cheapest option is very likely to buy all your bulky stuff in Reno and not ship anything beyond what you can carry.

Go online and read what your airline charges. Do that for fedex, ups and usps. Take a look at walmart.com and see about purchasing a bike and picking it up in reno. This stuff is your prep.
