well, I'm usually a better listener than a talker, but sometimes I can be inspired. What's up?

conundrum du jour:

so, i have the choice to go spend tonight with my sweetie or not. it's usually a no brainer, but the last week has been him working like mad and tired as hell combined with me going through a whole heap of shit. he hadn'd had any energy to be even marginally involved in any of my shit, so i don't ask him to - which, for me, means i go into emotional hermit mode because it's too much of a pain in the ass to find the beginning and explain it all.

i don't have any energy to be able to support him/ think for him/ etc right now, so i realised last night that the healthiest options for me are
a) self care - alone - which works
b) getting some outside support from him (well, from you guys during the day, but i don't keep you in my bed!)

i won't even see him til lateish tonight even if i decide to. so do i head home after my medic meeting tonight and hang out with myself, or go to his place and hope that he's well rested?

conundrum indeed. Did I mention that I married a paranoid schizophrenic....twice? Probably not considered much of an expert on relationships! I know that anytime I carry expectations into a situation, it's a crap shoot as to whether I'll get exactly the picture I had in mind.

So, no can't really dole advice to you on this one, as it boils down to what you want to do, I reckon.

Wannanother shot o whiskey?

btw, Rian - whenever i feel a tendency toward alone-healing-time it's usually the right way to go...

yes to whiskey, yes to strippers, yes to moving...

still don't know about tonight.
i agree with ya, tish... but i have a tendency to go a little extreme with alone time. i've been doing lots of it lately, and it's great... but if i do much more it will turn into not actually interacting emotionally with the people i used to, and i'm not sure the isolation is healthy.

hooray for hermits!

i've totally been thinking along the stripping & living w/ other single moms lines... there's a whole crew of super-cool, creative, smart, edgy hot mamas around here and it INFURIATES me that we can't seem to figure out how to get by - or work together to go beyond getting by and really help each other out and make some shit happen.

rian - what if you guys do spend the time together, but preplan for it to be quiet, healing time... maybe share a bath and trade low-key massages. no talking.
hand and foot rubs are good.

well, good morning all.

Rian, you know you can always call me, right? You don't even need to find the beginning and explain to all. We'll just curl up and watch a movie and just 'be'.... sometime's that's what helps me the most...

Lydia... sweetie, you know you can call me too! I adore you, babe, and I'm usually always around. Hell, I work for the evil mobile phone company, so i'm usually always reachable...

Tish, I second: Move to Seattle! Hell, move anywhere, really. It's an amazing readjustment... though it can be trying. I've been here a little over a year and I *JUST* found something that sort of feels like 'my niche'. But it teaches you all kinds of crazy things that you may have forgotten about yourself...

Oh, and Rian: I've got my babydoll... when's the sleepover??

Sorry, but if you're going to start stripping- Seattle is not the town. Portland has more strip clubs per capital than anywhere else in the US.

*tall, red clad stranger runs in, dives over the bar, comes up with a scotch bottle glued to his lips as he downs about three shots straight up. He drops the bottle, vaults the bar, sprints back out and off to work again*

Tish - move your sweet ass here. we'll help you find real estate.

Guin - you're tempting me... might be better to hang with you tonight and let the boy rest some more...

fuck though, i've been lying about having a babydoll nighty.
