Hello again my burning brothers and sisters. Alas, another year and another GREAT BURN to be had! I'm looking forward to flying more burners than I ever have this August! So, as I was buzzing through Black Rock Desert today I had ambitions of touching down, jumping on my bike and visiting one of the many hot springs in the area but, noooooo! What was I thinking! It's run-off season! After an epic winter! I was too scared to land on the margins of this lake for fear of an eternal muddy grave......should make for great conditions when it dries out, don't you think?

Thanks for posting the pictures Kirk! Very cool! It seems like the water is more muddy now than in previous pictures I've seen, so maybe it is finally shallowing out, or perhaps it had just recently rained and stirred up the soup a bit. Anyhow, it's getting there!

And no.. don't be setting 'er down on there just yet!!
