Ahh, Man I Loved those shrooms!
Are they renting or selling the pieces? Decommodification is my favorite Principle... at the Burn... but it takes money to get there...
So, when I heard the whales from last year got leased to the City of Reno for $60k, I was stoked to see that...
Not so we can make money off the Burn to waste in Defaultia, but rather that that money could be Burned on next year's Playa to create even bigger and better art....
It's gonna take a long time for our species to overcome the Samsara of Commodification... but as the Burn gets bigger, better and more outlandish each year... the more likely the Burning Spirit can enter the hearts of all the folks in the world...
Then we can transcend the love of money and power and realize we live in paradise and we're here to party and have a good time... to Burn 24/7 365 worldwide!
