As a matter of fact I did. Didn't we have a brief eplaya discussion a few years back about going to The Ranch. Growing up in PR.
I was not aware until today that the Sheriff John show was shown only in the LA area. That he worked at channel 11.

OK, its getting hot here in the Valley-O-Da-Sun. And when a Phoenician says this, its true.

Take a look at this NOAA page. Click on the days in the upper left. I've lived here for almost 30yrs. When I moved out here I just missed the all time high temp record of 122'F by a day. Sky Harbor International Airport was shut down for half a day. The reason was the charts to calculate lift didn't go that high in temp. (Going from memory and too lazy to search and confirm but that's what I remember)

This requires the shifting of garage work to early morn or late night. I love the SW but when its this hot its flat brutal!

Well fuck me running. I cannot wait to escape and turn off for a week in the dust. I just need to get away from people who bitch and moan all fucking day about the amount of work they have to do. Seriously? I swear people are so entitled they expect a paycheck, but god forbid you ask them to stay until 5:05. It is a salary position people, that means no hours. You have so much to do you want someone else to do your work for you, but then at 4:45 you want to leave because there is "No point in starting something now".

If I have to hear someone bitch about their fucking commute one more time I am going to go postal! The office didn't move since you got the position. Everyone deals with traffic, it is a way of life in Illinois. How about you suck it up and remember that you are an at will employee. If you don't like it, get the fuck out. No, I don't think you should get special accommodations because you have a long drive, I didn't tell you where to live and where to work.

I know we all have stress... but I am glad I have a place like this to vent and at least try to let it go.

this has been the busiest "business" year I've had in probably 20 years! add to that I have surgery on the 5th, and will be down for a few weeks? So, I'm scrambling to try to get jobs caught up.....

And yeah LeonardoPotato, the beauty here is the booze is exactly what you want it to be, no need to demand anything, of anyone. Just pour what you want, yourself, and many for someone else?

Seems to me that overall, eplaya, especially the Bar, has slowed down a bit in the past year or so, less vibrant somehow, and I think some of that may have to do with Fishy not being here to stir the fish bowl. I don't always agree with everything she says, though I find that I often do, and certainly welcome her differing viewpoints as a catalyst for discussion. A person with a strong intellect, and creative flair with ideas, and every so often, something goofy to offer just for fun. I know she became jaded, as we all do to some degree at some point, and then ran into a parting of the ways on playa that never sat right with her. Two sides to every story on that I'm sure, and involving others that I also have great respect for.

I hope she's doing well, continues to deal with the physical challenges that would defeat a lesser person, and that she's out there somewhere burning brightly in her own special Fishy sort of way.
