Bite'n Bugs.... ?
Bite'n Bugs.... ?
Is it true what I hear that the after the flood this year subsides and the playa dries up that all the insect eggs that have been hibernating down in the playa soil are going to hatch about the time we arrive that there will most probably be a record breaking heavy infestation of bite'n bugs that we will have to contend with and fend off?
Has anyone else heard this?

The only bugs out there get blown in on the winds form the local springs n ponds or driven in with the unwashed masses.
Playa is a desiccant so bug eggs n larvae - not a chance.
The brine shrimp critters that do survive the lake drying out - they don't bug no one and are sleeping deep in the hardened mud-pan.

Yup. And, you bit.
Wish that it had been a newbie.
Where will you be camping this year. One of these years we are going to have to exchange dusty hugs

Alas, I'm done with going to BM. Lost the magic.
What I did instead is bought a ranch in the Sierra Foothills and became a full time burner.
Lots of heat, lots of dust.

My two domes are installed year-round.
One could do a tour of all us folks in the area and spend a summer with some cool folks.
