Hiya Pink! Welcome to NV, you're just down the road from us. We would have grabbed you for our trip last Thursday had I known.
Now that it's hot, we'll be headed to the Sierras more than the Playa. The next fer sure overnight will be Aug14? for the Friends of Black Rock Perseid's Meteor Shower campout. PM me for coffee or a cocktail next time you're in town (Carson City).

What part of big heavy bus and Playa mud confused you? Looks like the kind of person who attempts to drive through a "dry" wash in a rainstorm.

He took that all the way to the Playa to sink it? I did the same with Millicent the Blue Bird in my own back yard a couple months ago, and bent the bumper in the process. Amateur.

(Wanted to buy; Blue Bird school bus rear bumper.)

By the way.... In BRC, I usually park Millicent on four thick slabs of plywood, just in case of a deluge.

I wash everyone was as concerned about protecting the Playa from their vehicles rather than protecting their vehicles from the Playa. Both are important but one gets little thought.

Now the big question is Will the Playa be dry enough for us or will we end up like he Bus up to it's axles in mud?

Now that you mention it.... I also put two full sheets of thin plywood under Millicent to catch oil drips. It simply makes good sense, and costs so little.

The building of the Man and the Temple (as well as Center Camp) will be starting very soon. There will be some very heavy cranes and machinery driving on the playa. Let's keep hoping for hot, dry, sunny weather.
