I live in Ogden. 84 to 89 to 15 is a good route, as going south on 15 from 84 means taking side streets in Riverdale. That's only a couple blocks though, so very doable, big intersection with lots of lights to guide you through. Look closely at a map. 89 is busy as fuck these days. Drove through the aftermath of a red light run crash coming home from SLC on Sunday night. Also, dead pets. And deer.

Coming down 80 can eat your brakes if you don't know what you're doing, but many people handle it just fine. The big wide sweeps and grades are visually deceptive. Do be careful anyway, as there are a couple truck killer curves on 84. Those yellow caution signs do not lie. Slow down, slow way the fuck down. We call southbound 84 onto 15 Applesauce Overpass as the produce trucks overturn there when going the limit. Once it was a cattle hauler, which was ugly.
