Hello friends, I am looking to build an 8' hexayurt for the burn this year but lack a way to transport from/to San Fran as the box truck belonging to my camp is all full up. This would be approx. an 8'x4'x18" kit during transport. I arrive on playa 8/23 and could receive it any time. Perhaps you have extra space in/on your vehicle and could use a few extra dollars to make it worth your while? Or could use some man labor/special services on the playa in return for said transport? Or have other ideas?

we are looking to organize the same thing: build and bring hexajurt from SF and back. We are also bringing art-installation also on 23rd. Maybe it make sense to share our resources?
We are two ppl (two others out of four will stay somewhere else ) and still not defined our camp. Have you build your hexajurt yourself or you bought one?

Hi Alex! I will arrive in SF next week 8/16 and will build my yurt if I can arrange for transport and possibly find a home for the yurt after burn. This is because I live in Texas. Essentially, if someone wants a free yurt after the burn they can have it for the free transport.
How big is your art installation? You are looking for help transporting as well? You are taking a small personal vehicle to BM?

For what it's worth, two yurt sets and a camp's worth of gear is probably the majority of a small truck or trailer's capacity - you guys may want to privately discuss the idea of going in together and seeing if you can find a rental vehicle somewhere in the bay area.

Thank you trilobyte! Hey Alex, were you able to get the yurt building going? If you are in need of a camp we may have room for you at ours? I have resources($) to problem solve if we start soon. What is your transportation situation to black rock and back? Are you planning to store yurts in SF post burn? If you're still interested in collaborating gimme a shout. My number...
