Hello there,
I'm a first time burner from the uk but living in nyc. I'm so excited to join the community on the Playa. My on snag is that due to a wedding in London on Saturday the 2nd I have a flight leaving from Reno airport at 5.15pm on Thursday the 31st and currently no way to get to Reno airport. If anybody has an ingenious idea or could coordinate a supply run with my travel back to the city from Black Rock, I will be forever in your debt??

Looking for a ride to Reno on Thursday the 31st Aug

Wow! That is some serious traveling.
Hope you can make it happen but it doesn't look real good.
Have you considered throwing money at this and flying out on one of the charter flights?

Here are a couple options, and something really important to consider. You need to pad any BRC to Reno schedules quite a bit. Even though there won't be tons of traffic, it always seems to take longer than you think, and it's better to get there half a day early (or the night before) than to miss a "can't miss this" flight. Leaving a day in advance may seem impossibly tough, but on the plus side it will afford you the chance to take one several showers, soak in a pool or hot tub, and make yourself a little human again before you get onto that long trip home.
First, reach out to the Burner Express Bus team. You'd do that by going to this page, then scroll down to the bottom where it says Contact Burner Express, and then when the popup appears, click on the link to Contact The Organizer.
They have buses going into the city through Thursday, so even though an officially scheduled service is not planned they may likely have vehicles leaving the city. Explain your situation, and if it's at all possible they may be able to work with you. If they can, make sure you print and bring copies of that email exchange with you so that on-playa, a person not familiar with the situation will be less likely to turn you away.
Second, look into Burner Express Air. Their schedules aren't readily available (you need to fill stuff out first), but they may be able to accommodate your flight needs. If the site doesn't show a flight on that day reach out to Burner Express Air using [email protected]. Planes are ferrying people into BRC, and they've got to fly back to Reno to get the next group.
Good luck!
