Hi all,

33 y/o attorney living in San Diego (originally from Michigan). Got a last minute ticket because I had been thinking about going for too long not to just do it. Plan on packing light and living as easy as possible. Not going with anyone so would love to meet new people to wander around with for an hour or two, cool camps to stop by and say hello at, awesome lectures to listen to, or anything else that sounds interesting. I am into psychedelic research, personal growth, minimalism, and good people.

Packing light is not bad, just keep in mind the playa is hostile, many layers of clothes, personal dust protection and lights first aid kits and lots of water are not optional.

The K.I.S.S. approach is a valuable one. You will find tons of cool camps just by wandering; you can also check out the What/When/Where guide given to you by the merry Greeters (one step beyond Gate, where they take your ticket) and try looking for any of those events.

Careful who you tell about your interest in psychedelic research--people will assume you're a cop. If someone offers you something illegal, they themselves may be law enforcement, no matter how naked or pretty they are.

Thanks everyone for your responses! Looks like I will be camping with The Hookah Lounge this year - 4:20 and E. I should be there on the 27th and leave either the 3rd or 4th.
