Having no health insurance and a colony of streptococcus newly set up housekeeping in my throat, what to do. Upon calling and hearing my sad story, a friend called all around seeking a free clinic, and finally found one open 3-6, and she said bring the girls over. Going on four, I couldn't ger her on the phone to tell her I was coming by, so I stopped at another friends' house, unloaded my kids on them, and went to the clinic. Turns out it was only cholesterol screening.....fuck. Drove back to get my kids, when her father, a doctor w a practice on the same street, walked up exactly as I got out of my car. So I made him look at my throat, and he walked me down to his office to get me a supply of medicine. Hell yeah!

stopped by this new gym that's opening yesterday.

i used to lift weights every freakin' day, but moving to the mid east and all of the health issues of the last year and money problems and general instability kept me from going back.

they've got a sweet deal for 'founding members'

i'm so getting back to the weights. hell yeah!

Well, if the new job thingy works out, so will I... I haven't done weights in over a year and I feel like a rather large slab of jello...

Hell Yeah!

finally pulled apart the Mackies and de-playafied them in preparation for NYE. Turns out I don't have to re-cone one of the woofers after all. Was just a bum solder joint. Now the back house can go thump without my wallet taking a lump.

I think there is something to the festival of Saturnia that I think I would enjoy. Rather than the commercialism around Christmas, having a celebration of community, of having made it through another year, of looking forward to the "rebirth" of the sun and the optimism of looking forward to the coming spring.

Let us bring back Saturnia with emphasis on community and fellowship and make merry. Let's decorate our homes with greenery to entice the sun out from its winter slumber and fill them with friends and song and feast and drink.

HELL YEAH!

Hell yeah it snowed in Utah too ... powdery, 3 to 4 inches, just enough to be pretty, fluffy enough I could shove it off teh walk.

I'd go over and mumble in the fuck thread 'cause Larry's navigating a big rig full of choclate through that crap, except I think he's tucked in napping for the day waiting for his delivery appointment, so he's alright.

So hell yeah, let it snow.

Don't forget the bacon, Fishy.

Hmmmmm .. choclate covered bacon. Wish I could remember which food god brought that to the dioxine cocktail party a couple years ago.

If there is anyone here in the Bay Are that might be looking for a job, I know of a project in Foster City that can use some help. You need a CS degree and some pretty decent experiance with web design with Java and PHP and other stuff. If anyone might be needing such a job and have such experiance, you can write to me for the details. I also know of a contract shop in Berkeley that might have some other computer project related stuff. So if this fits you and you were looking for something, I hope your holidays just got better! HELL YEAH!

Note that I don't have anything to do with this particular job, a friend just wrote me and told me she was looking for someone and gave me the qualifications. If a burner could use the job, HELL YEAH!

Well, I've been in a serious case of withdrawl since leaving Seattle on Tuesday, but as of today I think I can just muster a Hell Yeah!

After dealing with famliy Christmas ritualization, I got away with just enough daylight to go surfing for an hour. Below-freezing air, water temp in the 40s, seals bobbing around looking to score some neoprene scratch, sun going down in the west, near-full moon coming up in the east, two other guys in the water, both friends. I caught a few waves, stayed until my fingers got numb, paddled for the beach. Nice.

Then I put my favorite CD on in the truck thumpin' loud, rolled into a mind-blowning sunset, and felt the best I had in days. Hell yeah, indeed.
