Just like I said, the last six years I've been from the end of gate line to parked in camp in an hour to an hour and a half.

Just got to keep to the schedule.

Delays both ways.

Highway cams look good all around, with the odd colourful vehicle with tons of crap on its roof. Some appear to be decorated with bicycles...

See that half hour sweet spot right at opening?

That is right after they stop sending people to the staging area so there normally is little to no line.

Most people can't keep to that tight of schedule, so it's been the same for me for the last 6 years.

Last year when I got to apex, I was 2nd in line, but we had to go to will call for my nieces LI ticket.

Handicapped parking was closest to gate road and the line out of will call had us blocked.

I explained to a guy in line that my nieces vehicle had to stay with me and he let us in line.

Parked in camp by about 12:30.

For those looking when to head out to the playa, for eight hours Burning Man Traffic (link in 1st post above) has been reporting times:
Wadsworth to Gate Road, two hours or under, and
Gate Road wait is 30 minutes or under.
Last was 1:43 and 15 minutes.

The Gate road is causing white out due to participants speeding down Gate Road! The Gate crew is evaluating traffic due to safety concerns.

1:31 Wadsworth to Gate Road and no Wait on Gate Road.

Pretty amazing year. Worst Case under 7 hours, most of it under 5 hours and Monday on ~under 2 1/2 hours with much of that under 2 hours!

Too bad we don't have Will-Call wait times to put on that chart too.

It's the same data as the NFIC.

Each state has an updated highway closure map. Good to check outbound at a food/drink/rest stop when you can get a good connection.

(There is not a lot of combustible material there, they understand it's an important route on the choco taco and commissary trail, so doubt it will be burning long)

Another report Wildfire NV-447 road closure between Nixon & Empire.

My reports without link come from BMIR

As is: the seemingly alternative 'dirt roads' from and to the South are either damaged or unreliable
