I cannot believe what kind of BS is going down about this camp. Apparently they have headdresses and such and do a Native American shtick.
There are people on FB going totally postal over it. Native Americans (well... their ancestors were, really they're just as modern American as anyone is) are claiming all sorts of things like oppression, racism, etc.
one guy apparently didn't even stay in BRC because he was so upset over it.
They want this camp shut down, censored, educated on cultural appropriation...

Wow. Some camp had some stupid costumes, and that's such a huge deal? I better not catch anyone from any other culture dressing like an American in blue jeans and a t shirt!!
That would be intolerable!!!

Don't get me wrong, I think they're stupid too... I just think the people protesting over improper use of Indian culture are even worse.

They hosted speakers high up in fighting the pipeline. One of them, I believe, is Native American. Perhaps he sanctioned the camp costuming.
