I keep wondering how a "mechanical mule" would do onplaya.helitack wrote:Civics are nice for civic things but the dry washes, boulders, washboard roads, snow drifts in the Sierra, and the guhnarly steep stuff tend to eat them. Someday I may get a mule.

Ok, I confess I didn't see this until just this fucking second. III, my thoughts are with you and I'm VERY happy you're feeling better and hope this trend can continue. Here's something to consider: you brought a tremendous amount of smiles to the e-playa the day you came back. Everyone who remembers you (everyone who is still allowed to post, that is..) is glad you're back. Please take care of yourself and spoil yourself, and if you disappear again, I swear I'll gather the rest-of-the-worst of the eplayans and we'll descend on 3playa like the horde of ants that we are. So there.III wrote:me too. i was =>||<= this close to a nervous breakdown on the way to work yesterday. uncontrollable tears and everything. i'm better today, but i'm hoping that whatever's triggering it eases up soon.

who disappears? i just move around, as the environment pleases me.
it seems pretty nice right now, (aside from the technical annoyances) but who knows when that'll change.
descending on the 3playa is fine. it'll either prove the worth of the current social management tools (questionable) or convince me to tweak them till they do. it'll be fine.

I confess that I, for one, am STOKED about today as it's PUKING out (that would be snowing heavily for you southerners) and I CAN"T WAIT until Saturday when I get to go snowboarding in a FUCKING HEAP of powder!
I'll also confess that I'm eating some wicked squash risotto, the first I've ever made, and it's soooooo good and I'm enjoying it with a nice glass of white wine. And I'll also confess to feeling somewhat pathetic to eating dinner on the eplaya but I don't really give too much of shit.

I confess that when I read it, a smile crossed my face. I felt no envy, only joy in knowing someone cares for another, expresses it, and they both take delight in that expression. That is a work of art in and of itself.CoworkerLurker wrote:I confess that when I read this post I felt a surge of hatred for Stuart. It was pure envy.stuart wrote:my wife insists on giving me a topless hug before I am out the door in the morning.great way to start any day
I also confess that advertising-sinking influenced my decision to post this.

Well, yeah. Go ahead. Confess that you're healthier than me.geekster wrote:I confess that when I read it, a smile crossed my face. I felt no envy, only joy in knowing someone cares for another, expresses it, and they both take delight in that expression. That is a work of art in and of itself.
I confess that my head agrees with you. My heart is still catching up.

sorry, I didn't mean to make myself seem better in some way. I guess I was really just feeling a bit melancholy and lonely land angry and I saw that and it just seemed like a nice vision of utopia. Kindof a way I wish the whole world could be. I wish the world would give me a nice big topless hug every morning. Or if not the whole world, at least a small part of it.

Seriously- don't sweat it. I liked what you wrote. I didn't like what I felt. I already knew that. That's all.geekster wrote:sorry, I didn't mean to make myself seem better in some way. That and I wanted to give you a hard time.
But if you want to make it up to me, post to a thread that hasn't seen a new one since this morning, or early this afternoon...

i confess that i pissed off a college student looking for help with her paper on burning man by blowing off her survey and telling her to do her own fucking homework and visit us here (heh heh heh) and read the books and just fucking go!
i confess that her response was all riled up.
i confess that it made me happy.
and i am evilly glad to have provided her with just another perspective of the event for her lil paper...

Regarding the guy pictured on page 63 of this thread:
I confess that I was similarilly afflicted.
I confess that I feel ugly as hell pretty much ALL of the time.
I confess that it hurt my feelings that this guy got bashed
on the basis of his appearance... he cannot help it, did not ask for it.
Have you hugged a fat person today? A skinny one? Buck-toothed?
My oh my.
There are many hurdles we all face..... it is not easy being green (Kermit the Frog).
He does have nice fashion sense (footwear).
Love & shit & stuff,
