Hmmmm.

Some music!

~puts coin in jukebox~

four songs left!

' THE FIRST TASTE '
Words & Music: Fiona Apple

I lie in an early bed, thinking late thoughts
Waiting for the black to replace my blue
I do not struggle in your web because it was my aim to get caught
But daddy longlegs, I feel that I'm finally growing weary
Of waiting to be consumed by you

Give me the first taste, let it begin heaven cannot wait
Forever
Darling, just start the chase -- I'll let you win but you must
Make the endeavor

Oh, your love give me a heart contusion
Adagio breezes fill my skin with sudden red
Your hungry flirt borders intrusion
I'm building memories on things we have not said
Full is not heavy as empty, not nearly my love, not nearly my love, not nearly

Give me the first taste, let it begin heaven cannot wait
Forever
Darling, just start the chase -- I'll let you win, but you must
Make the endeavor

I gotta go roll in the dust for awhile
(take a bath!) & warm up, too.

It's freezing in here, Mr. Bigglesworth!
I'll bring some kindling when I get back, eh.

[giggles tries in vain to remember all that she has learned about scotch over hte past couple of weeks, grabs blindly at a scotch bottle (drambuie?) and pours a succession of glasses which she lines upon hte bar, takes one w her good book and sits in the nontobacco-smoking section by teh fire, fretting for a moment over hte dwindling suppy of wood]

*walks in with bundle of wood slung over his back, drops it next to the fireplace, grabs a glass from the bar*

Oh, good! Scotch! Just perfect!

*sits down in front of the fire, pondering, nods and smiles at GS*

Lydia- my pleasure. Don't fret about afterwards hugs- I figured you'd be busy. We'll cross paths again later, I'm sure. Hugs will be involved. What was hairy, if I may ask?

Grab a drink, have a seat. It's quiet time in the bar.

Reminds me of the time I was doing a multi-day bike ride in Ireland. After a miserable rainy day, all I wanted to do the next day was curl up in a warm dry place and read. But the pubs had this thing called "Holy Hour"- they closed from 2:00-4:00 pm! "But... but... but..."

Nipples, thanks for the wood. Glad you're here, even if the words you say generally go right over my head.

Oh lordy.

Today is the anniversary of my marriage...

and the day that my soon to be ex-husband came to see the show.

I can't seem to stop crying here...

Ms. Love, some days are so very like that I've noticed over the years. Here's to tears and roadbumps......

*Tall, dark stranger raises up, walks over and plants a big, big kiss on Ms. Love... and hugs her until she breaks into tears again... Then wispers in her ear... so softly... no one can hear except Ms. Love... and she smiles, and wipes her tears away... The stranger then goes back to the table, sits, lays his head on it, and falls asleep again.*

Whoa- an anniversary like that is hard enough. Getting constantly reminded of it when you can't walk away must be the shits. If you still need more hugs before tonight's show, I'll still be in the area before I go home.

And cry. Crying can be so good. Don't even try to stop for a while.

Even if the tired one makes you smile.

Smiles and tears, smiles and tears.

And here's a big hug for you now-

(((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))))

Now my shirt's all wet. Best thing that's ever happened to it...

Oh my, Lydia.

I made mischief a few minutes ago,
but now would like to comfort you with
something, anything.... from my divorce
to you:

The woman I loved still and always is the same.
Our children are also without condition.

Hopefully, you will not mourn the present of his company...

Too preachy, I am sorry (please spank me!).

Hi People It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to,...... but I'd rather have a drink instead.

Start at one end of the row of bottles and pour a shot from each one till I start missing my mouth.

*Tall dark stranger, head still down on table, raises his hand, with the index finger extended, which either means "We're number one!" or "Happy Birthday, Zule!!"... the hand drops again, and more snores come from the table....*

Samtzu, what time did you make it home this morning? Feelin' fuzzy? I'm glad you're home safe. What about the Wopster? And Sandwichman never showed at all...

Thanks every one,

I've been visiting my Dad, we were told he was likely to die in a matter of days,... He's still ticking and looks like he will be at least for a little while longer. I really needed to be home here to get away from the ordeal.
