US Fighterjet bang over playa arround 6pm on 1 sep 2017

We did some Burns allready and saw 2013 banana troop-helicopters/ 2014 jets at the corner/ 2015 i think booth...

But this year on the 1 sept arrond 6pm as we^ve been in deep playa a Jet fighter fly by ,so incredible near over us jeting in the sky
and i messed it up to catch a nice pic of the pilot he return but flew much higher...

did someone catch the low fly by as picture or Video

we now BRC pilots were not happy about the Jet fighter visit...

We were so close to the jet that i could see the helmet and we could feel the jetsteam.
Next to us someone were shocked while i pushed as hard the camera button on auto fc grrr dint work...
did some good one from far distance but just wonder.

I'm hoping someone got the first pass (I think) when the pilot pulled straight up into a vertical climb.

That's interesting you mention the BRC pilots were not happy. I wondered how they would react. I thought one of the passes came from the direction of Gerlach, which would put it facing the take off traffic, many of which cut immediately right in front to give tours.

The pilot does have everything on his radar as he approaches.
He knows that the space he'll be moving through is empty.

Baring cannon or missile speeds, which as he's going over BRC, that isn't necessarily guaranteed...

I wonder if the radar can detect the metal cables of barrage balloons?

What it can paint and what it can track is classified.

But I have been present where the discussion included talking about ranges for detection & tracking of profiles that are reduced to the sizes of a full range of birds, from ground and airborne, active and passive. And that was over 15 years ago.

Yeah iam sure the Jet pilot is able to have an nice overview and radar controll,the sky divers not so and they land into the center area....
mean all BRC related planes circle arround the playa while our special visitor got straight through it,compare to the last years i never saw this inside the map-range

I am not complaining just mention that it fit to the RR-theme and i felt like on the red bull flying show just faster & louder.
my girlfrind realize that over us an huge objekt show up and like 3 secs later we hear the sound,so must be pretty fast before he went straight up...

By the way i read some time ago about BRC Ranger use Radar too for tracking activities on ground /behind trash fence
(anti sneak in check )
would be wired if they got interferences on using seperate radar technologies...
