Hey Rian, I'm okay--as okay as one can be on a Monday morning.
Sorry about your drama--another part of you torn out bodily, it seems.
LIttle worried about what sort of 3rd string industry shill they'll find for my new boss if my current one really jumps agencies. Minor crap, inother words.

Geekster
Maybe you've been playing your cards close to your vest, but from what you've said, it sounds like you're in a good position to keep close contact with the kids and family. Give it your best try--I think the disruption is worse for them than the actual split--if that makes sence, since they are so intertwined.

yeah, poofy. the good news is (even though to see this little stinker blubbering and sobbing on the sidewalk for a long time this weekend, you wouldn't believe it) SurlyTarts are known for being tough little shits.

SantaCon totally reclaimed xmas for me. i've disliked the freakin holiday and the season for a while. all that changed on saturday.

story time was excellent. being a naughty santa in the library (shhhh) was excellent. doing ballet outside the nutcracker was excellent. boozing was excellent. making the roller coaster ride stop because we were too heavy was excellent. ok, it was all excellent. and the only sign of a hangover i had the next day was the same damn headache i started out the day with. so i don't even chalk it up to the alcohol.

I thought we did the "Hokey Pokey" in front of the ballet... but, then again, maybe that was somewhere else. And story time was wonderful, as well as wispering Christmas carols in the library... and waaaaaaaay too much fun on the roller coaster... and the one block bus ride on the Duck.

Did we ever figure out who paid for the first round in the brewpub?

I am the real Santa, BTW... the boys on the street said so. So there, Santa Wop!!!

It was all good for me from noon til' it descended into a pub crawl. Then the Klowns just freaked me out. Seattle definitely stepped up to the plate and put the Ho back into... well something...me I guess.

And I'm the real Santa. You're all imposters.

Uhhhh.... nobody paid for the first round, I think... that was why I led the cheer for the bartenders, and screamed out about the tips... you tip them enough and they don't care who pays... sometimes...

You know, as many times as I asked this freakin question I always got the same damn answer.

"Santa!"

Santa is a fucking smartass.

The rollercoaster. Oh, fuckin-A I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard. All of us with our hands in the air approaching the first hill... and coming to a grinding halt before reaching the top. I thought I was going to pee my panties...

Oh... and Rob's apparently endless supply of really horrible things for Santa to be saying into a megaphone...

"Santa loves you. A special love. Like Uncle Jack gave you as a child..."

Rob, darlin... you are a hell of a lot of fun.

Maybe you didn't notice, but there wasn't much suit there to wash... but somehow, still, it looked very, very good on her...

Of course, there are a lot of things that would look good on her.... and I'll stop right there.

i know. i thought the coaster was gonna tip all of us off on our heads.

you missed the fun of screaming and ho-ing into the megaphone with the Wop while we were on that coaster. good god.

jeebuz. those little dance team girls. and the kick lines. and the mechanical bull. and the pole dancing. and climbing into the fucking duck. i loathe the duck and i still boarded her... head first.... i got really funny looks from some passersby outside the carousel. santa was trying to fix the zipper on my hotpants in public. speaking of infrastructure issues...

lydia, you and i need to get back on Rob's lap sometime soon.

What Lydia said... things happen, but it all works out. I didn't have to sleep in my truck, which is good, since I don't fit even when it isn't filled with crap. PM me some time and let me know what's going on... BTW, my cell phone has been showing 'no service' since Saturday at the Space Needle (I think that's where we were... big tall thingy?)... am I having antenna problems? Do I get it checked out locally? Am I holding the wrong end up to my ear? These are important issues....

And, have a scotch on me... or whatever you're drinking...

Rian: YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES! I'll be there... all three of us can hold each other up. You know, like a tripod.

Sam: leave the phone on, but take the back off and the battery out. leave it out for 1-2 minutes. Then put everything back together. This should fix it. If not, let me know... I'll put a call or two in for you: it's the least I can do. And thanks for understanding.

Lydia: I'm sorry to hear about all your shit, babe. We'll talk tonight??

Um, nice to see you, too, GE. My, but orange becomes you.

Kinda feels like a spicy Bloody Mary kind of day to me. Not orange, but it'll have to do.

That took care of it... thanks... now, when I leave work in about half an hour I can listen to the message you sent on Saturday.

I should remind you guys that we have a special guest from Canada who will be at the LL tonight! Mum's the woid, and NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED for missing tonight. I might even get there a bit earlier than the usual 10:00 or so. I'm thinkin' 8:30?

What about MISS Love? Please tell me you DON'T have a show tonight... But if you do, I'm quite certain we'll be going strong waaaay past 10.

And Miss GuinivereElise? Nobody's angry with you. We just missed you very much and you would have been a such pleasure to rampage with. Just like Portland! Miss Rian was in attendance up until about 10 or so... But you two 'Little Women' - Rian and Guin - needn't worry because Lydia showed what a WotA can do when they're inspired. Damn she looked hot in that TINY red skirt and torn fishnets. And the 4x4 tee shirt looked so damn festive! Plus, she helped Sensei to walk between the hours of 11 and 3 in the freakin' morning... What a pro!

Remember, there's a 'special guest' at the LL tonight and NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR BLOWING THIS OFF!

That is all...
