I framed it and it hung on my living room wall; it’s been there ever since…
Thanks for the music, Brother… Even during the “slow” times of the Burning (E-playa) year. There are some of us that know that it’s the musician’s that are the keepers of the vibe for the community… Thanks., you get that!!

Normally I don't turn the heater/furnace on until Thanksgiving, or at least Veterans Day. But a few inches of snow on the surrounding mountains and rain/wet snow mix here in the valleys this past Thursday made me give in, the last day of summer. 29 this morning in Carson City. Hope it's not a precursor to this coming winter

I tell you what: This last Burn was brutal, in every way, and it hit me really hard. I hardly recognize the person I used to be. No shit. I was not expecting a really life-changing experience this year, but I got one anyway.

And it is still unfolding. Not sure how I feel about it but, I know there is no going back.

I usually come back from the Burn feeling that life is too short, so I seek out my loved ones and do happy things. But this year the brevity of life has fired in me a zero tolerance for bullshit. I do not want to mince my words with people who waste my time, and, guess what: my standards are a lot higher than they used to be.

Maybe, after seven Burns, I am developing Burner Snark.

Let me pour you all a drink before I get permabanned.

And don't get me started on Decoms. Out here in the faraway lands, you can wander a so-called "decom" for hours without meeting one single person who has ever been to BRC. All poseurs. I don't know why they do it. Makes me mad.

Maybe 2017 is my Angry-Ever-After Burn.

All I have to say MDF, is our time that evening early on in the week, over a glass or three of champagne, sitting at VC and Grai's camp, was the most rewarding and positive feelings I've had in years. Hopefully that's partly what you're referring to.
