I can't wait to begin this journey with you.
I will be making my way to Burning Man in 2018 for what I can only assume to be the first of many burns.
I have been asleep a while, aware of my thoughts and beliefs but unable to get out from the darkness that surrounded me. Meandering through life with an a pressure job and an opressive relationship. Going around on the carousel blindfolded and recessing more and more into myself.
My awakening has been the product of separating myself from the dark forces keeping me down and decidedly learning how to let myself be who I am meant to be. It has lead to the most amazing year of my life. I have found great success, wonderful friends and made significant posivite impacts in the lives of others.
This past summer I was invited to a music festival. Nothing big, just a small weekend event put on around a cannabis cup competition.
It was my very first festival experience and it was obvious; I was home.
I am built for this.
The inclusion, the happiness, the self expression apparent at even a small gathering was enough to arouse my curiosity and get me looking at similar events.
It didn't take me long to find burning man related stories and posts. Eventually leading me here.
I have since begun to craft costumes, search for camping gear and plan for my time in Black Rock city.
The principles of BM resonate so strongly with my new life and what I have begun to value so much.
I cannot wait for my time there. 11 months to prepare and get amped up!!
I would love to meet some seasoned burners in the Vancouver area that want to impart ANY wisdom or chat online with anyone interested in coaching a Virgin.
