Post Burn, and the Monkey Hut Rocked! Very sturdy and with the help of some end pieces, I was able to divert much of the wind either past or through the Hut as needed. Loved it.
Now, the PVC ribs are pretty well bent from 2 weeks on the Playa. I thought they might self-straighten, but they don't seem to be doing so. Any advice here? Will they straighten out eventually? Any easy ways to weigh down round pipes to get them straight again? I'm afraid if I start next year with bent ribs, they'll fold over totally in no time.

They will be fine in year 2+ curvy arced. I've reused mine for buried landscape water and electric where the trench straightens. Somewhere there may be donations nearby post burn. No need to buy new.

Re: Straighten PVC or buy new?
The only reason you'd need to buy new PVC is if it broke, got too UV damaged by being in the sun for way too long (like years), or was bent so much that you couldn't fit them on your trailer/vehicle to bring them back. Otherwise, the bends are normal and may even make it easier to set up.

Re: Straighten PVC or buy new?
My mh is about 7 years old now. I really noticed how misshapen it had gotten during last burn. I’m going to replace the ribs this next year the spines are fine.
Oh my god, it's HUGE!
Re: Straighten PVC or buy new?
I've used the same ribs for 6 straight burns. They're permanently bent for sure, but they still flex and don't seem brittle. They'll be bent once the hut is constructed so I personally don't feel any need to either straighten or replace mine.

Re: Straighten PVC or buy new?
My PVC poles have been bent for the last 4 years with no problems. As long as they're not brittle, (1 year wont make them brittle) they'll be fine.

Great! Thanks. One, well actually 10 fewer things to buy next year.
