Burning Man- view from a jet fighter
Not sure what day this was but very cool.
Everyone is so politically fucked up that they're segregating themselves in the name of equal rights and liberation.

I saw those guys... at least two of them... they put on a nice show, some barrel rolls and flips... they were Burning up there so I yelled, "Finally our tax dollars going to good use!"

Your freedom to be at an event like Burning Man and yell shit like that in English is your tax dollars being put to good use.

Me... I do not -- repeat, not -- read sarcasm in either of the two posts above. (Of course, I am old and feeble-minded.)

What a great view! Though I'd like to see the view when they flew pretty low over the city and then did a vertical climb.

Too bad they didn’t sonic boom the place.
If you have never been privy to crack-of-dawn sonic boom-boom, it is truly epic. No words can describe.
I’ve been through several. Mostly on China Lake in the Mohave but also two Space Shuttle double whammy’s.

when I was a kid, they were fairly common around here, we are 30 ish miles from a NORAD base, and others in the general area.Token wrote:Too bad they didn’t sonic boom the place.

Dogs are the leaders of the planet. If you see two life forms, one of them’s making a poop, the other one’s carrying it for him, who would you assume is in charge?

I grew up in Albuquerque and we would get boomed regularly in the 1960's. Then I stopped hearing them. Somebody must have decided booming a city of 200,000 was a bad idea.Token wrote:Too bad they didn’t sonic boom the place.
