What means of transport would survive on the playa other than a bike?

I have been to the burn 4 times and as I keep going more and more, I feel like I have less time to do stuff! I know I need to keep introspecting, but I think it also has to do with my sleeping and transportation arrangements...

I was thinking of getting either a motorized bike, a golf cart, or a tuk tuk (sort of like a rickshaw) to bring out there, as I feel I tire fast now when I ride my bike in the hot sun, and then have very little energy left at night, even after napping!

I would like to know what your guys' experiences are if any, or if you think a tuk tuk (which might be the cheapest option) would survive burning man! I could also totally use a golf cart or tuk tuk to transport not only camp members/neighbors, but also just random people which would be super fun!

Unless you are a disabled person in real life, with the state blue placard and full documentation, motorized vehicles are subject to full mutant vehicle DMV rules.

Exceptions are the stand-only scooters and Segues, electric bicycles/trikes compliant with NDOT rules.

Being tired and other lack of vigor does not qualify for a DMV license.

Maybe some high altitude cycling leading up to BM could be beneficial for you.

If none of this helps you can always stock up on a variety of stimulants and rotate through them during the week.

Bikes are the tried and true transportation but you need to be in shape. Start early in the spring and ride daily. Eat well, especially on playa, hydrate with electrolytes.
Do all this an you won't feel so tired and will be able to get out more.

Seems like you have less time to do stuff? We all do. It's not the bike, its FOMO.
Actually, E-bikes are really great but you have to have a way to charge them.
Otherwise, start building up your endurance at the change to Daylight Savings Time. Walk, bike, get out and park your car. Do a little for an hour five times a week. Build up to the burn.

I know this may be difficult to swallow, but this thing is simply the most ridiculously appropriate winningest flipping funfest. I tested it at Juplaya and it simply rocked. It rocked the entire Burn without a single issue. I got to the point where I couldn't be troubled to walk halfway across camp.

The kids who make it are based in Santa Cruz, where it is manufactured. It ain't a plastic piece of consumer crap, and it ain't cheap.

With that said, one of my friends borrowed it and broke his clavicle, and another got about 20 square inches of gnarly road rash this year (both on Playa). Do attempt not to die.

You have a whole summer prior to the event to stop being a lethargic sloth. Even a week before will do you good.
