Thanks to burningflyer for those photos.
Stuart, I think going to the event to show your support is OK. Appreciation is also usually welcome. It's the exploitation that's disrespectful. Or maybe it's just sad... to be a mere observer and not a participant.
The Critical Tits ride is a brilliant and complex event. All sorts of feelings and motivations going on amongst the riders, supporters, and voyeurs.
On the other hand, frat boys are frat boys. That won't change.

Well all the shit I had that could blow up got blowed up. And I have had a hard time with the sheep situation since living in Oregon with some guy from west Virginia. The neighbors sheep got real scared when he went strolling around naked with his Red Ball boots.

For irony in the attitude of the poster (almost wrote poser) this one deserves an (dis)honerable mention:

Badger, you are my favorite responder. I read all kinds of threads and there you are. You have the "silly" vibe, and that's a good thing. You sound huggable.
Am I getting soft or what?
BTW, my faves are in this thread since the 10th because they're on topic, brief.
Desert dogs drink deep.

I've met the Badger (it was only once and just for a few minutes) and Sensei found him quite huggable - and I got that hug. But Sensei's contacts range far and wide... I remember hearing another Ranger saying what happened once when "someone really got Badger ROYALLY pissed off"...
Iso, you're just jealous.

well, it led to a sequence of events that led to me not going back to burning man...
You've GOT to finish that story, III. No fair letting (making!) us speculate. C'mon. AND, you hinted that you MIGHT make the fuckin' camping trip this year. Oh, I'm watchin... We all are. We are everywhere.
Shit! I gots to go! Larry will be off stage in a little more than an hour. Fess up, III. And give it to us straight, we can take it and then make up our own minds the way we always do. I'll say 'hi' to the Hat for you.
And are the rumors true that someone we know MAY be coming to Seattle around New Year's?
We are everywhere. But not at the LL til Larry's had his say...
i was on shift when the whole jiffy lube protest went down, and got pulled out to stand watch at a street corner just before i refilled my water bottles. that led to a dehydration fueled adventure and spiritual journey of revelation that made it clear that i was pretty done with the event as it stands today.
now all you gotta do is figger out which part of that badger was involved in...

Have you ever been walkin' along and suddenly you notice that you're standing on thin ice and you realize that you personally have absolutely no business standing on that particular patch of thin ice?
That's where I am now. I'm backing the fuck up, reaaaal slow like.
I hope, along with many others, that you find a way to come back, III. Don't bring jack squat, just show up and see what your other friends will do for you. Might give a little perspective. Don't decide now; instead think it over in III-like fashion...
I'm going back to the bar thread to re-read my post about Larry with his hand on Lydia's butt, and Revvy getting the pic. There's your post of the day.

"Rights" would only favor those who wish to memorize them and yammer about them endlessly on BBSs and email lists. Those of us who think it's utterly stupid to discuss at best, and trending toward cultishness at worst, are left out of the picture. Burning Man is a business, and they grant you whatever the fuck they want as permissible by law in return for the ticket fee. Larry will let you know what rights you have, and thank you for your interest.
