I keep on clicking on this thread thinking it's a review of lower levels...people working at 'lower levels/non-management' or something. Or a movie.

Oh fuck... was it Monday last night?
I'm NEVER gonna make it down there. Maybe the 27th. I don't work between XMas & New Years... so all I gotta do is figure out how to get home. Or not...

Isn't the Capt. just adorable when he passes out? There he was at the Thanksgiving soiree, sprawled on the couch and sawing logs by 11. And me with my permanent marker...

You owe me, Capt. You owe me, bigtime.

The Lower Level at CHAC is coming along VERY NICELY. My kudos to those involved.

I popped by this Monday just for the hell of it, not realizing that its doing the bellydance thing the first Monday of each month. This is great! I'm an old belly dance groupie and think that this is a wonderful symbiotic relationship for local burners and dancers.

http://www.raqsserpentine.com/html/pyramidlounge.html

I'm also impressed by how the bar is coming along. Last time I was there I asked for coffee, but alas none was to be had. This time I was able to get a strong, warming, tasty coffee nudge made exactly how I wanted by a beautiful kick-ass woman bartender in a shirt that said "PENIS" on it. Thanks Kat!!!

The venue is doing things right. The only thing I wish is that they had one of those propane heaters outside for all of us nicotine fiends. The smoking area is getting COLD.

If you're in the area and haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and try the CHAC Lower Level on Monday night. It's worth bleeding a little on Tues morning.

well, YOU could always bring one... I'm sure the other smokers wouldn't mind one bit...

Whoa.

We were graced by our lovely Pixie. (Hooray!)
I got to watch Larry Harvey grab Lydia's ass.
I got to put money in Action Girl's shirt.
The Hatted One was put to the test: knows Lydia but not me - clearly here sometimes, but not a whole lot recently.
Action Girl is a complete doll.
Little gifties from our Nathan stuck in Afghanistan.
Freakin' tons of people.
Yay! Hommade lip gloss from Guinnie!
Sensei being his usual caring, charming self.
And the former relationship scenario looks like it'll be navigable. I believe i managed to communicate 'i hurt, this sucks' without ragging on him or trashing his name at all. We decided that instead of going out in a big mixed gender group like before we'll just have to have girls' nights - and more fun.

I really didn't wanna get up this morning.
Thanks ya'll for a lovely night....

Uh, Rian, how would el Sombrero know someone whose avatars tend to be rather, um, interpretive?

Nice to see you back in the land of the regular-sized font, by the way.

And hey, BuckIt.. have you noticed those log in names in th big black font? Yeah. We thought we'd see if he's recognise names not faces, honey. It's a fun game.

Well, that was fun last night. Y'all drove my big blue funk right outta me.

Getting The Hatted One to grab my butt didn't hurt.

OK, OK... having a moment to talk with him was just as good and meeting Action Girl was a total fuckin' kick.

Y'all encourage my misbehavior too damn much though...

THe highlight of the evening for me was watching MISS Lydia Love go from a deep funk-blue to doin' the 'Snoopy happy dance' in the space of 2 minutes. Feel the power of Larry's hand on your butt! Next was when we (Lydia, Rian and Sensei) took turns trying on Larry's hat! And A.G. really 'does it' for Sensei! Oh, I like! I like!

And what about Pixie's surprise appearance? Hmmm? Sensei got to hide out with PixieKlown while she snuck through town. MUCH PIXIE FUN! This woman needs dual citizenship, that's all there is to it. She said she won't be back until Feb., at the earliest! Boo! She's a major reason I'm doing Vancouver SantaCon, too. Poor PixieKlown has to work until 10, but Santas are going to visit her before then, rest assured!

Damn, *now* i'm real sorry i didn't go :( . Altho i have yet to meet her, PixieKlown just seems real cool, and fun to hang with ( and yeah, i have alittle crush as well) .

Samtzu- where the hell were you when I left? Right in front of me? No wonder I couldn't see you! I hope your trip south went well.

Rob, continuing to make Seattle unsafe for inner children.

Buckethead was epic, as predicted. But totally the wrong coast.

Whoa. Whoa. WOTA. ALL FOUR WOTA! In the same room at the same time. Like I could EVER put THAT into words, let alone when I'm still recovering from it.

That's right. I have pictures.

Oh fuck- Sensei!, recovering from a long day at doctors' offices. Gazing intently down while sitting, making those across the table wonder.

I should go to sleep. Really.

Who else did I forget?

Lower Level Review, or What I Did on my Winter Vacation
By Buckethead Alien

The images are starting to come back slowly. Guinivere Elise, my gracious host in Seattle, and I arrived early and took a corner booth. As I expected, the LL is indeed a rank shithole of a place that was perhaps an underground garage in a former life, or perhaps, a mortuary drive-through. We ordered some crappy, over-smoky scotch and talked with Kevin and CWL until Sensei and Lydia Love arrived. I was introduced not as Bucket, but by my real name. I made heavy eye contact with Sensei and applied some of Lydia’s lidocaine solution to my gums, but not even a glimmer of recognition crossed their countenances. I was not recognized, for which I will never forgive our friends, well maybe.

The rest of the eplaya crew arrived in a whirl and rush. I think it was Tisha or perhaps Rob the Wop who first said, ‘that looks like Bucket.’ Then all hell broke out for me, there was cussin’, huggin’, and kissin’, not the least of which was a big fat smooch on the lips from Samtzu.

The rest of the night was a blur, but fragments are coming into focus:
-Rian kicking over my Scotch and the last of Lydia’s toddy.
-Samtzu trying to get me to dance with him.
-Being surrounded on the banquette by so much loveliness that the oxygen was sucked out the air by the fire they set off in my chest.
-Sensei summoning me outside on a mysterious mission.
-A long, drunken conversation with Rian. (Still love me, Sugarsnap?)
-Rob the Wop’s ten minutes(?) in heaven.
-More smooching.
-Getting yelled at by Jackass(?)
-Rian across my lap and GE’s thighs around my head for a group photo.
-Getting perhaps the best hug of the night from (should be no surprise) Lydia.
-It goes on and on.

It all went too fast. Really. I plan to go back at the earliest opportunity.

ok, ok, BHA, a few corrections:

YOU were drunk during our conversation. I was only slightly buzzed, and mildly loopy from the meds.

Further, i did not KICK over anyone's dirnks. It's just that i was a wee step from throwing up in Rob's lap (again, the meds) and thought the table was more stable than it was. Technically, i tilted the table so that your lovely drinks could splash upon me and your glasses fall to the floor.

Hey, you could of licked 'em off....

rian: I think I let BHA in on this piece of knowledge, so we found a way around that whole "the more they like you, the stronger your drinks"... we ordered scotch, neat. And she WAS very generous... it must have been the "booze over evil" shirt that BHA had on....

I would like to remind the jury that If it took me an unusually long time to register the fact that there was a Bucket Head Alien in our midst...

I was high enough to hunt ducks with a rake on vicodin, muthafucka!

Sheeeit, you'd think that would buy me a little extra leeway with the whole recognizing friends from a teeny tiny picture (usually of their ASS) but no...

It was fabulous to see you, once I'd clued in. Before hand I was thinking "I like this fellow, whoever he is. His willingness to put lidocain on his tongue speaks highly of his character or maybe his lack thereof.
Where the hell did I put my drink?" Even when you donned the "Booze Over Evil" shirt I was thinking "Oh my, isn't *that* a coincidence..."

That *was* a nice hug.

*smooch!*
