Shipping Container for Kodiak Tent
Shipping Container for Kodiak Tent
For a regional shipment, what's a recommended container that fits a Kodiak 10 by 10 tent well? Thanks.

Those things are big and heavy. They aren't usually shipped anywhere.

As Ratty said, they are heavy. You don't want the packing to add to that. I would pack the tent and poles+stakes separately. Tent in a heavy duty duffel, even wheeled duffel, ideally with playa capable wheels. For the poles it might be a good idea to protect the fitting ends from dents. So a ski bag with the poles in a carpet roll tube and ends capped with plastic you can get at Tap Plastics, or a hard larger golf shipping case.
You can throw that all on your vehicle roof rack for camping at home.

I use a piece of ABS pipe with endcaps for stuff like fishing rods. Should work for tent poles too. Duffle bag for the tent.
